I've had a look around the plugin documentation and whatnot, but can't find what I'm looking for. I also found this (http://blog.tommed.co.uk/2009/09/07/how ... -v3-plugin), which is far too complex for the toolbar button I actually want to create.
I want to add a toolbar button to CKEditor which, when pressed, will insert a simple string to where the blinking cursor is. I've figured out how to add a HTML tag (from the horizontal rule plugin), but I just want to add a short string of text, sort of like a shortcut button so I don't have to type it.
On my blog I have a simple BB code / replacement set up so that when posts are displayed, it searches for every instance of the string "[star]" and replaces it with an image of a star. I want a CKEditor toolbar button which will just add the text "[star]" to the textarea when I click it. Any help?
