Suppress HTML markup from showing up.

HI All,

Just started working with this editor and it's super IMHO:, One question though,

Is there any way to stop HTML markup from showing up ...

eg, say I use the alert javascript message to show my getdata return values....
I see

<p> OK. This is my first Reply,<span style="color: #f00"><strong> Edit my Reply</strong

and I just want to see the text....
