Shadows around images in IE

Has anyone ever see this happen? It's only in IE - and only in their default states. When you mouse over the buttons, they look fine. This is the kama skin using CKEditor 3.3.2 (it's happened on 3.3.x).

Any ideas what could the problem be? I even tried to override CSS with this:
