Remove whitespace in output?

I'm using the jQuery extension. I'm looking place all the output on one line because it is being placed in an XML file. This is important because the XML file is being displayed in a Flash document, as as a result each line break that is stored in the XML file is interpreted as a <br>, as well as the <br>'s that CKeditor places in.
