Problem with vertical scroll when editing large documents

I am new to this forum.

Installed CKEditor v 3.1 and I also have this jumping problem.

IE 8 : long text edited. I scroll down, click in the editor area. The editor jumps back at the top of the text. It is really a problem for my customers.

Customers were okay to use Firefox, but they found another bug in Firefox. When pasting from word part of the infos in the foot notes are lost. My customers have foot notes in almost in every article.

So I have them paste their document in IE, save, close IE, open FF, and edit the document in FF. I feel a bit ridiculous.

This issue is not at all resolved. Can you please give it a high priority.

There is still a major bug with large documents not behaving properly in IE (I am using IE8 w/ CKEditor 3.2).

To reproduce the issue (using IE):
1) Paste a large chunk of text into the editor so the document has a fairly small scroll handle
2) Click somewhere near the top of the document
3) Scroll down to the bottom of the document and click into the document

The issue:
The document jumps way up to the top near the point of where the cursor was first positioned.

This makes CKEditor virtually unusable for large documents because whenever you click anywhere, the page jumps away from where you clicked. This does not happen if the mouse-wheel is used to scroll the page down however.
I hope a patch is released to resolve this issue soon.

My company is evaluating CKEditor and I have observed this defect as well. We are using IE7 and IE8, and I have reproduced the problem in these versions of CKEditor: 3.2, 3.1, 3.0.2, 3.0. Are there plans to correct this issue in a future release, or is there any known workaround?

My sites that use CKEditor experience this issue, too. Latest Chrome, Safari and WebKit nightly. Anxiously awaiting a fix to this annoyance.

i dont think this problem has been solved,
as i am using ckeditor3.6 with IE8,
cut and paste content in large content also cause the vertical scroll bar jump up and down which is unacceptably ignoring. . ..

anyone can help ?
