If I have an image in the editor, the image is broken. But if I make a "preview" or go into the properties of the image, it does show. Similarly, if I put a new image, I can see it in the editor, but if I enter "source mode " back in "WYSIWYG", I again lose the image and shown broken.

Would your problem be the same as the issues described in these two tickets:

Does setting a DOCTYPE resolve the problem? If not, you are welcome to add your comment to the above mentioned tickets to let the developers know that this is a valid issue. A test case would also be convenient to make it easier to solve. Thanks!

Yes, they are the same problem, but unfortunately no solution yet.
Watch for new solutions.
