I've been using ckeditor for about three months on a project and although I've hacked and slashed my way to this point, I'm thinking about trying to find an experienced developer to help me out.
None of the stuff I do is proprietary, so if I'm open to releasing any/all changes as plugins... No one wants my config file, but if we can leverage plugins that would be great.
I've posted on a few freelancer sites and might have a decent hit or two but figured I'd try here. No one is going to get wealthy off this gig for two reasons, one, it's not a high value project and two there's not that many changes required. It could develop over time, there's a bunch of requirements that have ckeditor on them.
--- here's something, I'm considering farming out ---
I'm looking for a custom dialog tab (or pop-up window) to add to input/form control configurations (textfield mostly but could be others) in ckeditor. The functionality needs to expose an embedded editor instance. A "user" must be able to write an "expression" within that tab/editor, which is then added as a custom element to the generated html. possibly as an ARIA attribute, but we can discuss that.
The expression editor would have a limited set of controls. 1 or 2 drop downs, ability to add constants and perhaps some operators (comparison/control, math and concatenation). a basic validation routine should be run on save to check the integrity of the expression.
The completed expression should be returned as output, so it can be carried within the generated html. If the user edits that control, the expression must be retrieved and made available for editing.
The control needs to work within the editor... as a link from a dialog or clicking on a readonly expression and also from outside, same concept but the fields are outside ckeditor. jquery and ckeditor are both available.
This must support 3.6, it would be best if it were a plugin, that I could add as needed to other controls, rather then custom code I need to add everywhere.
I'm open to discussing my requirements and listening to alternative implementations.
I'm open to releasing the code to the ckeditor community. Otherwise I own the code.
Code must include test cases. So you would provide a configured setup similar to their samples which demonstrates the capabilities. I could validate over the web initially, then you package up the distro and I verify locally. Open to discussion on verification, packaging.
I have additional ckeditor customization requirements as well. I'm doing development and need a heads down developer for piece work.
Communication ability and reliability are important. Timezone is less critical. Your code needs to be understandable and maintainable.
I'm assuming payment by paypal, let me know if that is a problem. I have no idea how we work trust, milestones, etc. but open to discussion. This isn't for a high value project so we need to find a fair market value. Hopefully you value releasing it to ckeditor
Thanks
