Hi,
Thanks for this great editor!
I have an issue with the upload/browse function and I would appriciate your help.
If I upload a picture by using the upload function in the pop-up menu, CKEditor store the picture in directory wp-content/uploads/file. But if I use the browse button and upload a picture via file browser, CKEditor store the picture in wp-content/uploads/image. Hence, the file browser shows only pictures stored in wp-content/uploads/image, when I am searching for pictures to include in posts.
My configuration is as follows:
- File Browser: Built-in (old)
- Store uploads in this folder: wp-content/uploads/
Many thanks in advance,
SamY

Re: Issue: Upload/Browse Pictures
Hi,
you write about our extension to Wordpress from http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ckeditor-for-wordpress/ ? Which version of plugin and Wordpress do you use ?
Re: Issue: Upload/Browse Pictures
Thanks for your quick reply.
The versions are CKEditor for WordPress plugin 1.0.8. and Wordpress 3.1.3.
Re: Issue: Upload/Browse Pictures
@SamY I checked your issue and there is as you wrote. I have workaround for you :
just set wordpress upload (in settings media) to save in wp-content/uploads/image directory. In this situation you can see all images in file manager like built-in or CKFinder.
We will check if there is easy way to improve this behaviour.
Re: Issue: Upload/Browse Pictures
Thanks for this workaround. But even if I change the upload directory in WP media as mentioned, all pictures uploaded via upload tab will be stored in wp-content/uploads/file. It seems to be forced by CKEditor. Do you have any other solution to fix this issue?
Re: Issue: Upload/Browse Pictures
please check settings in CKEditor upload options page. In my case the folder to upload is wp-content/uploads/ so images uploaded by filemanager like CKFinder or old built-in plugin goes to wp-content/uploads/images directory.
You can try use wp-content/uploads/file as wordpress upload directory. This can help in your case. Please try this.
Re: Issue: Upload/Browse Pictures
Ok, I have checked both, but there is still the same weird issue. If I leave the WP settings blank as default and change the upload settings in CKEditor to wp-content/uploads/image, I am not able to upload any picture as the following URL will automatically be created: http://domain/wp-content/uploads/imagefile/IMG.jpg
It's the same if I set wp-content/uploads/file in the settings. The term "file" will automatically be added.
