In migrating to the brave new world of xhtml and standards compliance, the image Alt attribute should now only be used for describing the image when images are not being displayed by the browser and it should no longer be used to provide a tool tip when mousing over the image. This should now be done by the separate Advisory Title attribute which is hidden within the Advanced tab of the image dialog panel.
Web browsers like Firefox and Chrome now enforce this distinction.
However, most of the time, the Alt and Advisory Title should be set to the same text description. So it would be really nice, and save a lot of aggro with non-tech users, if filling out the Alt attribute automatically entered the same text into the Advisory Title, which could then be over-ridden by more expert users accessing the Advanced tab if they need at different title.
If you would like this enhancement, please add your comments - hopefully it might encourage someone in the ckeditor team to respond.
