Hi i was just wondering if there is a way to remove the outside paragraph tags. i already have the following set in the config.js file. Just to make it clear, its the outside paragraph tags that id like to turn off, not just the ones that appear by default when you hit enter.
CKEDITOR.editorConfig = function( config )
{
config.language = 'en';
enterMode : CKEDITOR.ENTER_BR;
};
thanks

Re: How to remove <p></p>
ps. I'd love to know the answer to this as well
Re: How to remove <p></p>
When I save text in the editor, the output, for example, is:
The wrapping <p> tags, line breaks and whitespace is all inserted by the editor and is unwanted - it breaks my styles. This can't be by design surely?
Re: How to remove <p></p>
The wrapping paragraphs will vanish as soon as the 'enterMode' config is set to use <br />, you shouldn't have it anymore with the above config.
Re: How to remove <p></p>
I too am struggling with this and have exactly the same issue as jrbilodeau.
I have tried Gary Yao's solution and updated the config.js, but I still get <P> tags when creating new content??
For example if I pass the editor
, and simply open it and update it I get back
This is a major problem as some editable areas are ruined in my application by the introduction of the rogue <p> tag.
Has anyone got a solution? Is there a way to use <P> when hitting enter, <BR> when hitting Shift+Enter, BUT not have an outside <P> tag automatically inserted?
regards
Russell

Re: How to remove <p></p>
config.enterMode = CKEDITOR.ENTER_BR;
config.shiftEnterMode = CKEDITOR.ENTER_P;
