I read in a post that file/image upload would be supported in the first stable release. Now that it is here, can somehow show how to configure/enable file/image upload please? thanks Patrick
Haha - funny story (if you ask me). If you want to use "browse server" or "upload" from the image button on the toolbar you'll need to purchase CKFinder for $59. http://ckfinder.com/
However if you just want to try it out you can do that for free. I think it was a cheesy thing to do - taking away the image upload capabilities in CKeditor. But then I guess CKsource has to make some money somewhere. And it's not a bad price for a great piece of software.
In order to integrate it into CKeditor just take a look at the _Samples folder after you decompress the downloaded CKfinder files. It tells you the specific commands on how to integrate it with CKeditor. Basically you just upload CKeditor to your root directory then upload CKfinder to your root directory, then access the editor/finder from wherever you want. The following site also shows how to configure CKfinder into the CKeditor directly when creating the CKeditor instance: http://docs.fckeditor.net/CKFinder/Deve ... ntegration ...I haven't tried this method - I just use what's suggested in the samples directory.

Wrong. Any official statement about this has always said that it will be provided after the first stable release.
I've tried to integrate the CKfinder and it seems to be OK, but when I have choosen an image in the CKfinder-window, I not come back to the CKeditor-image-window. So I can't use the CKfinder for choosing an image. The same installation of CKfinder is working with the fckeditor 2.641 correctly. Where can I get help for this problem?

Are you using the pre-release with support for CKEditor? If not, then get it. If you are using it, report the problem in that thread

I think this is the same problem I came up against. Images upload fine and show up for FCKeditor, but don't show up for CKeditor because CKeditor will not support baseHref configurations until version3.1 coming out in december. This means you won't be able to define the base path for relative links on images.

With the new version of ckfinder my problem has been solved. Thank you!
