Embed as Component

I have been looking at the CKEditor, and was wondering if it is possible to embed it as a control/component within an application, instead of on a web page.

It could be possible (but not necessarily easy) if you have some decent HTML control, preferably webkit based. It may also work in default windows IE control.

This would give working editor, other thing is data I/O from HTML control. This is where choosing the right control will benefit.

Of course there's also Adobe AIR version, but i assume you're interested in classic desktop application.
