Can CKedior be configured for text only?

I have need for editing some text that only has the style of normal, bold and italic plus the <br> tag; no <p> tags or other tags. Can this be done?

Many thanks as I am trying to learn about CKeditor...

Sure, just remove all the plugins you don't want whilst leaving styles and basic styles in tact (And the core ones...perhaps paste, context menu, etc.). Then alter the style options to only be bold and italic. I'm not sure about the p tags, but I suppose if you set both the enter modes to breaks instead of p's, that might work?
