CKEditor 5: icons from extra plugins aren't in the toolbar

Hello,
In CKEditor 5, the icons from extra plugins aren't not visible in the toolbar only with IE8 (and maybe also with IE9). I tested with the new 'placeholder' plugin (and many other) and the icon is not visible, only a space on the toolbaar.
In al previous versions of CKEditor they are displayed correctly, but in CKEdit 5 with IE8 they are not visible.
With FireFox 3.0.15 there's no problem.
Please, how can it be fixed?

Greetings. Had the same problem with 3 of the 4 custom plug-ins I had. While it still does not make any since to me what I ended up doing, and it worked, was resave the icon images again. Not sure why they did not display normally under IE8 with CK 3.5, espically when they worked for CK 3.4 but anyway that was what I did and the icons are displaying once again.

Thanks for your reply.
I have resaved the icons with Photoshop but there's nothing that change.
The icons will not display in the toolbar as they do with CKeditor 3.4. Maybe they must be saved in another place because I didn't find the icon from the new "iframe" plugin. For this new plugin the icon is displayed correctly in the toolbar, but I didn't find the icon...

I changed the icons from GIF to PNG format and it did the trick.
The icons were not visible, except when in "view source" mode, when they were dimmed.

When returned to editor mode, only some icons were visible but still dimmed.

You're right, I changed the icons from GIF to PNG format and it did the trick.
In fact, I had the same effects when I moved from "view source" mode etc.
Now, everything seems to work as "normal", but it's really not normal that this happen only now starting from CKeditor version 3.5. This means that there were modifications in the matter how icons in GIF are displayed... Maybe a little "bug" in version 3.5...? :roll:

I had the same problem. However all the icons for our 3 plugins are .png files

I loading the files into photoshop and re-saved them into the same location and
the icons appeared in the toolbar ! I didn't do anything to the icons. Permissions all the same.
Not really sure what has changed but solved the problem
