CKEditor 4 has been released!

Just downloaded the full and can not even get the samples to install

TypeError: o is undefined ckeditor.js line 49

Any ideas?

I have just installed new ckeditor 4 on my web-site and it works great, except one thing: can't get a full toolbar set!

In samples there is a section:

Full toolbar configuration

Below you can see editor with full toolbar, generated automatically by the editor.

Note: To create editor instance with full toolbar you don't have to set anything. Just leave toolbar and toolbarGroups with the default, null values.

But that does not work even in the sample, i have tried to set  "toolbar: null" and "toolbarGroups: null" - also does not helps

Please help! What should do the trick?

Where is the jQuery adapter for CKEditor 4  ?????

Hi, i'm missing the ckeditor.pack for 4.0 so I can't create the optimized version from source?

Great Product - and I love the in-line editing but I am new to ckeditor. I am developing a local community web site and this would be perfect for getting community involvement in the site.

However, I have 2 questions:

1 - I am developing in ASP.Net, when will the in-line editing feature of release 4 be available to ASP.Net developers ?

2 - is it possible to make the in-line editor trigger a login panel so that only members can edit the pages ?

I can not see the Autogrow Folder in dern Plugins Folder..with the CKE4 Beta it was there but it wasnt working. Are you going to port that feature as it was extremely helpful!

Thanks for such a wonderful Editor.

I am new to the CKEditor, and right now i am working on a project in which the CKeditor needs to be upgraded from 3.6.4 to 4.0.

In 3.6.4 i found that there was a custom style added to our Global css file.

span.cke_skin_kama span {
  width: auto;
  display: inline;
  float: none;
}

Once i upgraded it to 4.0.1.1, i am getting a crashed CKEditor page, and when i looked into the style sheet it seems like a global style class applied for the span is creating all the troubles, and that is given below.

.form1 span {
  display: block;
  float: left;
  width: 590px;
}

When ever i load the CKEditor and disable this class for span, CKEditor works just perfect.

Can we solve this problem by setting any configuratin parameters with CKEditor? or do i need to add more custom styles to the global css?

Or is there any tweaks there to override this styling issue by any means...

Please help me with this, i tried to add different custom styles to the cke_reset, and such similar 'span's used in the CKEditor.

Did something like the bodyPrepend and bodyAppend features discussed here not make it into version 4? I didn't see anything quite like it in the configuration options.

Here is an example on how the code looks for a plain paragraph:

you should always back up your files and test the upgrade in a test environment before you proceed with the production site.

I've found, that file "ckeditor.php" for PHP integration is missing in all 4.x releases.

Can you please return it back and add new features, like inlining editors and other stuff?

In ver 4 I have problem with text aligment (white spices are cut off). In ver 3 everything works fine. Sample HTML code which I put into CKEditor:

 <p style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 150%; margin: 0pt 0pt 0pt 255.15pt">
            <span style="color: #000000; font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt">«TU_INSPEKTORAT»</span></p>
