Is there any plans or a roadmap for the next major release of CKEditor? Trac Roadmap seems pretty quiet, and it looks like the CKEditor Developer forum has disappeared (not that there was ever much in it).

thank you for your interest! CKEditor 4 is now in active development and the code along with new features will be released with the version 4 beta. There are no maintenance releases for CKEditor 3.x since everyone is very much involved in the work on the new major release.
I am not sure which CKEditor Developer forum you mean.

That's great news. Is the development of the next release open to the public, or is it closed development?
Do you know when the Beta will be released?
At one point there was a development mailing list/forum, but I don't see it any more.
