I have just setup CKEdit for the first time.
I have read the doc and everything.
I am using it on a personal website for me and my girlfriend instead of the normal textarea.
Since I have added the CKEditor, the form has include in the text area html code that i don't want.
Without CKE :
With CKE :
So the code has added two <BR /> and one <P>.
I'd like to remove these default value.
If someone know where to go to remove this, I'll be glade !

This app sux, even for free.
I keep it just one day and never use it.
I can see that the <p> bug can't be solved, that you can't remove the stuff at the beginning.
And since many years, same issues, and they never correct it, they said that they are free, but they did it espacially because people will by a licence to get support.
That's why the forum is dead.
After uninstalling (juste the line to add the javascript, and the code after the textarea) and the foler, it make my css style bug without any reason.
I'm pissed of.
CME look nicer, but i will not try, the best style remain the good bbcode & str_replace

Already did, and not just this forum.
I just say that for the popularity of CKEdit, the free product sux.
Event if they have a great engine, I know that if they are able to make what they did, they are also able to setup more important and easier stuff than making upload, wysiwyg and much more...
Like, setup the width and heigh size of the form (graphically it's more important), maybe keep values of the select.
Disable the <p> and all the bug related about <p> (seen many, and not on my computer, so you should know before answering and if you read threads correctly, that I have tried, find information ...) Use <br> instead ( wow it might be very difficult to make something clear for that, and what I have seen in this forum, about the js to edit, are not working anymore with the last version.)
And don't add automatically html value in the unset form...
If you want to honor a graphic charter, You have to rearrange the code for the select.
So I am 100% sure that if they are able to make a powerful engine like that, they are also able to keep the initial important stuff. As a graphic designer, I accord more importance to these details than a big part of their work.
I think that they know how important it is, and that's why they never fix things like use <br> instead of <p>, the stupid things like this, <p><div></p></div>, <br> bug when you switch between source view and wysiwyg.
I have read the licence, (again i can read thanks to you) before downloading and read the manual also.
They don't give any support if you don't buy a licence.
You can't use the code for non-personal activity, otherwise you have to pay.
I thinks that because they made something verypowerfull, they include bug that they know since many years how to correct it, to help after easy and quickly how their customers.
Well, very disapointed about all the things said about CKsource, CME as a better licence, and don't have stupid stuff like CKE.
And if I am so hard for a free app, it's because I know that it is a joke, seing that kind of bug in a complexe code like this one.
Very disapointed, I know you never mind.
I know they can do better.
