Hi,
I use the ckeditor plugin. It works pretty well except that it "flashes" when the ckeditor is shown.
I explain the process I have understood when creating the ckeditor instance:
- at first, the ckeditor instance is created with the height by default or the height I have specified (for example 10px ou 800px). The ckeditor is shown.
- after, the autogrow plugin is launched (on instanceReady event) so it's resized depending on the content.
So visually, you have during one brief instant the ckeditor with initial height replaced by the resized editor. I does a flashing effect.
What I want to do is to hide the editor before it has been finally resized. So, the effect would be hidden to the user and the editor will be shown with the final and good height.
I tried some workaround but none is working.
So, is there somebody who had the same problem ? Is there a trick to use ?
Thanks by advance
Bastien

Re: Autogrow plugin : flashing when resizing
As there is no reply to my question, is there someone of the development team of CKEditor who can reply to me if what I want to do is possible ?
I just want to hide the editor and wait the resizing done by the plugin (autogrow) is ended and after to show the editor.
Is it possible to do so ?
I tried to hide the span generated when i create the editor but it doesn't work.
Any idea ?
thanks by advance.

Re: Autogrow plugin : flashing when resizing
For me, the "flickering" issue happens even without autogrow. It looks like when then editor is first displayed some default styles are used then it switches to another set of styles, which causes a flicker. Then if you employ autogrow, you see flickering with the scroll bar.
To make matters worse, the scroll bars flicker on and off each time the content grows too big. That doesn't look so great either. I'll dig into the forums to see if anyone else has dealt with the same issues.
Re: Autogrow plugin : flashing when resizing
In my case, I don't know exactly why (it does a long time I don't have a look at the code) but i don't have the problem of the scrollbar flashing. Only the toolbar at the opening moment of the editor.
I keep this problem away. It's annoying but will be ok for my users.
But, if you found something, i will be happy to stay tuned !
