Are users not allowed to edit the docs, even after registration?
If not, where can access be requested?

We have limited the permissions in the docs to avoid vandalism. Talk pages are editable by registered users, so please feel free to use then to come with suggestions. Thanks!

Yes, we have been working on maintenance stuff for the doc site and it has been down for about two hours. We'll manage to not have such long downtimes again on it.
