To match the Opera 9.5 release, here we have a new version of FCKeditor. Other than providing better compatibility with this new browser, it fixes several important bugs and brings some few nice features to our editor.
We'll now continue working for the release of FCKeditor 2.6.2. In parallel to it, we have started coding CKEditor 3.0 (also known as V3), our next generation editor.
Stay in touch, and enjoy FCKeditor and Opera together!

Re: FCKeditor 2.6.1 released
I'm not a big Opera user, but seeing the announcement here, I upgraded to 9.5 to check it out. Visiting the demo page http://www.fckeditor.net/demo I cannot see an editing area. Same lack of editing area for the site I work on. In other words, Opera and FCKeditor seem incompatible to me. What am I missing?

And I looked for other preferences that might matter. Don't see anything. I have no widgets installed either.

Re: FCKeditor 2.6.1 released
When typing in FCKeditor's text entry window, the entire page will jump whenever you press 'enter'. The page will scroll so that the line you are typing on is at the bottom of the browser window.
This happens both with the FCKeditor demo page on this site and with my own installation.
Is this a problem for other people, or something to do with my installation of Opera?
Re: FCKeditor 2.6.1 released
@ntm, I've unfortunately confirmed it and opened a ticket for it:

Hopefully a fix for it will be available soon.

@cykophysh,
No ETA for it. You can followed the status at our dev site:
http://dev.fckeditor.net/roadmap
We are instead considering rolling out the 2.6.2 soon, moving pending things to 2.6.3, because of a Firefox 3 compatibility issue. We are still waiting for some feedback on this.

@lulleplutt, thanks for the advice. I've opened a ticket for it:

I'm not sure this is something we can able to fix at our side. Let's check it with Opera.

Re: FCKeditor 2.6.1 released
Hello Fred, it seems like the above issue is somewhat fixed. But try this with Opera on http://www.fckeditor.net/demo.
Select all text in default demo, the whole row. Then format the text, bold, italics or underline. The text jumps down one row. Can you confirm this?
