I am running CKEditor in a small but very clever CMS called WebYep. It supplies php fragments for which CKE serves as the rich text editor. This means CKE is opening up in a popup-window. When i used to work with CKE 2, this was all ok. Since upgrading to CKE 3 and now 4, I get a window that seems to consist of two parts. The upper part is the usual text area that users can type in, but below that is another white space that can't be used and doesn't display anything.
After hours of searching I have found a setting in ckeditor.js that determines a height of 300 px which is applied to the upper part. By increasing this value I managed to hide the lower part (which confuses my clients). It still shows up when one increases the size of the browser window (but that still is better than before).
I also tried to solve it by a plugin (resize window, autogrow etc.). Didn't work.
I have two questions:
- does increasing the value in the ckeditor.js lead to any problems? I.o.w.: should I do that or not? (I am a total JS newbie, so forgive my stupidity).
- Is there a way to tell CKE to always use the entire space given by my PHP elements (WebYep), e.g. by setting the height to "auto" (I tried that, it didn't work)? Or the other way around, to shrink the popup to the predetermined size of CKE?
I have attached a screenshot of the popup-window where you can see the two areas.
Thanks in advance.
