I'm using Firefox 1.5 on Linux and am having trouble loading FCKEditor when I point the browser directly at the editor's main file in the file system. However, I am able to load FCKEditor without problems when pointing to the same file deployed on a webserver. I understand this is probably not common usage, but the application I am embedding FCKEditor in does not allow me to run a webserver so I have to load it from the filesystem. BTW, this is not a prloblem on Windows.
The javascript error I get on Linux is
uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80520012 (NS_ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND) [nslXMLHttpRequest.send]" nsresult: "0X80520012 (NS_ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND)" location: "JS frame :: file:///var/www/html/fckeditor/editor/js/fckeditorcode_gecko.js :: anonymous :: line 61" data: no]
Has anyone come across this problem or does anyone have any suggestions? Any help would be much appreciated.
