Hello, just upgraded to 4.4.3, so unfortunately not sure if this was changed in an earlier version I missed, I believe the last live version I had was 4.3.2.
Before I was usign the following code to remove the linktype and protocol fields in the link dialog I don't need...
if ( dialogName == 'link' ) {
var infoTab = dialogDefinition.getContents( 'info' );
infoTab.remove( 'linkType' );
infoTab.remove( 'protocol' );
}
This will still remove the items, but when trying to hit enter or ok the dialog just fails. Is there a new way to do this? I could just redo the link plugin, but don't want to have to do it with each new release and worry about this changing.
Anyone have any ideas?

Any luck? I run into the exact same issue... Thanks.

No luck, haven't heard anything, and surprisingly my users haven't been that vocal complaining about it so far I guess, here's what I ended up doing...
So that way it's there, but cuts out some of the fluff I don't need (news:// still? Really?) and they still have to be chosen, but it'll default to the standard ones and it'll at least insert it correctly.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I see what you are doing there. Good hack.
Unforunately, my team would like to get rid of those two fields all together, I gues the only option left is to use pure CSS to hide those fields.
If that helps, I also filed a bug report here: http://dev.ckeditor.com/ticket/12287
