Hi,
We are using FCK Editor - 2.6.3 Version. We are facing formatting issue in Chrome. We have wirrten one line with following formats in FCK Editor. "Hi, This is FCK Editor !! " Format : Font- Verdana, Size -2 and we are sending this text via mail.
Once I copy upper line from FCK Editor Rich text box and past it in same editor using Chrome browser. Then FCK editor add same line, and it's looks same as original in FCK Editor. We saved this in database and send this content in mail. In received mail text format is different for pasted line[Second line]. Even when we checked upper saved text in IE, then it's display different way [It's display as what we received in mail].
Once we copied in FCK Editor with Chrome it's inserting following HTML :
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small; ">Hi, This is FCK Editor !! </span>
Once we copied same line in FCK Editor with Chrome it's inserting following HTML :
<div><font size="2"><font face="Verdana">Hi, This is FCK Editor !! </font></font></div>
And which we have copied in IE it looks ok in FCK Editor and mail too. While what we are editing in Chrome it's look something else in FCK Editor than what we are getting in mail.
Can some one help for formatting issue in Chrome.
Thanks in advance

Re: Formatting issue in Chrome browser with FCK editor - 2.6
Hi Zaki,
sorry I cannot really help you, but I will just point out that you should expect these kind of issues with FCKeditor (and more of them too) simply because you are trying to use a retired product that is already 4 years old in new browsers. FCKeditor is no longer supported, its code was frozen two years ago, so you cannot really expect it to work flawlessly in an environment that changes so fast because it will no longer do so.
In any case, if for any reason you need to continue using FCKeditor, you should at least upgrade to FCKEditor 2.6.6 since earlier versions (including the one that you are using) had security issues.
Last but not least, you should definitely consider upgrading to the successor of FCKeditor, CKEditor. See my post here for some general remarks and tips: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=24675

Thanks for your reply. I have downloaded 2.6.6 version source. In that I could not find "FredCK.FCKeditorV2.dll" or source for . NET through which I can generate FredCK.FCKeditorV2.dll. Can you please guide me?
Thanks again

Sorry I cannot really help you, but FCKeditor is already retired and unsupported, so I don't really know much about its intricacies.
