The CKEditor team is going to DrupalCon! More precisely, the project’s lead developers and CKSource upper management are going to be at DrupalCon Prague 2013 between September 23-27 doing various presentations and Q&A sessions, so if you’re in the neighborhood drop by and say hello!
Here’s a list of who will be attending:
- Michal Pik, CKSource CEO
- Frederico Knabben, CKEditor founder/project lead and CKSource owner
- Wiktor Walc, CKSource CTO
- Piotrek Koszuliński, CKEditor developer
- Olek Nowodziński, CKEditor developer
CKSource LSD Meeting: September 23
CKEditor activities will begin with a CKSource presentation at the LSD meeting (Large Scale Drupal) on Monday, September 23. The closed event will see Fred and Michal show a brief history of CKEditor and CKSource, the company behind the project. They will define the inherent problems that WYSIWYG faced in Drupal over the years, followed by a summary of why CKEditor was chosen to be included in Drupal 8 by default.
The LSD showcase will explain the benefits and commercial advantages of having an HTML editor in Drupal. It will also demonstrate how a variety of tools and solutions can offer the best possible WYSIWYG experience in large projects.
CKEditor at DrupalCon: September 24 and 25
On Tuesday and Wednesday Frederico and Wiktor will be available at the various conferences, so you’ll be able to meet them in person.
Additionally, two separate Q&A sessions (BoFs) are going to take place:
- CKEditor for Site Builders: Wednesday, September 25, 2013
- CKEditor for Developers: Thursday, September 26, 2013
We invite anyone using CKEditor in projects big and small to attend as it will give everyone a deeper perspective on how to build a business around Open Source applications. Plus you’ll get to chat with core team face to face!
See you there!
