CKEditor in review
- With 4.3 out, focus is now on CKEditor 4.3.1. A few issues have already been closed. Widget dragging has been improved (the ability to easily drag widgets around content is one of the key features). The new Enhanced Image plugin also got a couple of fixes.
You can follow 4.3.1's progress here.
- Another fix in 4.3.1 is stability in Quirks Mode. The editor will no longer crash in IE11.
- We're pondering adding Show Blocks to widgets to make it easier to see where you are placing them.
- The team released a widgets installation guide. Since widgets have dependencies we recommend installing them via the Add-ons repository.
