CKEditor in review

  • CKEditor is now officially available via CDN (Content Delivery Network) to improve performance! CKEditor is hosted by the best CDN provider - Amazon - guaranteeing the best possible load times for users around the world. SSL is supported so it can be safely used on sites using SSL. Expect the CDN to always include the latest release. 

  • The CKEditor team started working on a new and exciting Open Source JS Test Framework! It will help automate JavaScript testing.

  • CKEditor's Wiktor WalcAleksander Nowodzinski and Robert Mikolajuk will be at DrupalCamp Wroclaw on May 16-18, 2014! Drop by and say "hi" if you're in the neighborhood.

  • Besides that, it's business as usual closing tickets and getting the upcoming CKEditor 4.4.1 ready for release.

Around the Net

  • CKEditor for Bracket 1.0.2 is out. Brackets is an open source code editor for web designers and front-end developers.

  • ZK CKEditor is now available. It supports CKEditor & IE 11. ZK is an Open Source Java framework for building enterprise web and mobile apps.

  • David J. Bradshaw released a plugin for Grunt that creates a configuration JavaScript file for the CKEditor custom templates plugin. Grunt is a JavaScript task runner that helps you perform repetitive tasks like minification, compilation, unit testing, linting, etc.
