CKEditor Weekly for June 16, 2014

We're back with another edition of CKEditor Weekly. CKEditor 4.4.2 is getting closer to release, we have some news about CKEditor CDN, and news about our testing environment going public. Read on for more...

CKEditor in review

  • CKEditor 4.4.2 development will close this week, so the next update should be released soon - maybe in a week or so.

  • We modified the download page to include a section for the new CKEditor CDN

  • Documentation for CKEditor CDN was expanded to include details on how to deal with local configuration files and plugins. You can check it out here...

  • The team finally agreed on how to call the new Open Source JS Test Framework. It will be called Bender.js! Why? Because it's an anti-human app since no human likes testing (yes, we're a creative bunch).

  • We made our CKEditor Testing Environment public. CKEditor tests can be found in the tests/ directory. You can read more on how to set up the environment and execute tests in the CKEditor Testing Environment guide.

  • CKEditor creator, Frederico Knabben, is in Brazil to support his country's team at the 2014 FIFA World Cup! You can read more about Fred's World Cup adventures here...

Around the Net

  • Angelozerr integrated code completion with JSDuck using CKEditor.

  • André Schild updated his CKEditor Vaadin connector to 1.0-9. Vaadin is Java web application framework that helps you build modern Rich Internet Applications (RIA). The component offers a server-side file browser and uploader for CKEditor.

That's it for this week. If you would like to be featured in one of our CKEditor Weeklies, or have an interesting tidbit that relates to CKEditor, leave a comment below or contact us!
