CKEditor Weekly for June 02, 2014

We're back with another edition of CKEditor Weekly. FCKeditor got an important security update, so those who for some reason still use it will need to upgrade. The community was also quite active last week. Read on for more...

CKEditor in review

  • FCKeditor 2.6.11 was released today. It includes an important security fix so we urge everyone who still uses FCKeditor to please upgrade to this latest version. A better alternative would be to upgrade to the latest CKEditor
  • There's a new FAQ entry detailing the new CKEditor CDN.
  • The team is currently working on Nested Widgets. The plan is to have decent support for them in CKEditor 4.5
  • Michael Janea uploaded a nifty Location Map (Google) plugin for CKEditor. It lets you easily add Google maps to your content. Check it out and let him know what you think of the plugin.

Around the Net

  • Django CKEditor updated to version 4.4.0. The application adds CKEditor to Django admin or in forms.

  • Elxis CMS updated its CKEditor from version 4.2. to version 4.4.1. Elxis CMS is an Open Source content management system (CMS) released under the GNU/GPL license.

  • Sebastian Sulinski posted a video tutorial on how how to add links to internal pages using Link and Image dialog plugins.

  • The CKEditor BasicStandard and Full packages for version 4.4.1 have been added to NuGet

That's it for this week. If you would like to be featured in one of our CKEditor Weeklies, or have an interesting tidbit that relates to CKEditor, leave a comment below or contact us!
