CKEditor Weekly for July 21, 2014

We're back with another edition of CKEditor Weekly. CKEditor 4.4.3 was released last week! It includes an important update so upgrading is recommended. We also have news on a couple of CKEditor side projects. Read on for more...

CKEditor in review

  • CKEditor 4.4.3 was released last week! It includes some important fixes and additions, including a patch for a security issue. Upgrading is highly recommended!
  • Development of the CKEditor Examples is in full swing. It will include the editor documentation, samples and guides. Artur Delura is currently working on implementing an auto-generated source feature for the new SDK samples. It will allow you to copy the source parts needed to run the desired sample.
  • Grzegorz Pabian is working on a wiki for Bender.js, both for end users and developers.
  • Ufdada uploaded a cool Quicktable plugin to the repository that lets you easily create tables with the use of a grid. The plugin is based on danyaPostfactum’s work. If things go well, the plugin, or something similar, might be added to CKEditor core one day.

Around the Net

  • Shahiem Seymor created a plugin (Formwidget) that integrates CKEditor to October CMS. October is a free, Open Source, self-hosted CMS platform based on the Laravel PHP Framework.

  • Eric Geloen released an update to his bundle that provides a CKEditor integration for Symfony 2.

That's it for this week. If you would like to be featured in one of our CKEditor Weeklies, or have an interesting tidbit that relates to CKEditor, leave a comment below or contact us!
