Open Source License or Commercial License
Hello,

I am currently programming a forum for my homepage and would like to use FCKEditor.
Once the forum is online I'm going to embed advertisement and depending on how things develop I might found a company. So far I'm using TinyMCE Editor but like I said I would like to use FCKEditor. My problem is that I don't really understand whether I'm allowed to use the Open Source License or whether I have to buy the Commercial License.
Is it allowed to make money placing ads in the forum while using FCKEDitor ?

Thank You

I'm not a lawyer, but yes, you can use the editor in your forum and put as many ads as you like.

But if you start a company and plan to sell some product including the FCKeditor, just common sense says that you should give something back to the people that work developing the code that you are basing your business (and this is where the distinction between "should" and "must" can be answered only by knowing exactly what you are selling, and how you are doing it)

Ok, thank you. The only reason for me to found a company is when the ads placed on my site run good enough to earn me a living.
