I'm sure it's just something very stupid that I'm doing but I'm having a lot of trouble displaying hyperlinks correctly when using CKEditor.
I type in some text (so far so good!), select the word or words that I want to hyperlink, click on the Link button in the toolbar. This opens up the Link menu where I type in the url I want the text to link to.
When I then click OK, it simply adds the URL where my cursor was (at the start of the selection) and doesn't actually hyperlink the words that I wanted.
For example if I wanted to hyperlink the word "sentence" in the phrase "This is a test sentence with a hyperlink" it would display like this:
This is a test http://www.somelink.comsentence with a hyperlink
rather than:
This is a test sentence with a hyperlink
(with the underlined bit being the hyperlink).
Anyone have any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Re: Help with hyperlinks
Can you provide the browser you are using (Specific version) as well as CKEditor version? Can you see if the problem alsooccurs using the demo and nightly builds?
http://ckeditor.com/demo
http://nightly.ckeditor.com/demo
Re: Help with hyperlinks
Just had a look with Internet Explorer 8 and it's working fine there.
Demo build works fine too (in Firefox) and not too sure where to go for the Nightly build..

Thanks for the help anyway!
Re: Help with hyperlinks
Did you ever get to the bottom of this - I am having exactly the same problem although it has only juts started happening.
I highlight the text, click the hyperlink button, type in a link and click OK. It puts the link url in as a link but ignores the text i highlighted.
So for instance, if my text is "click here for more info" and I want the click here to hyperlink to www.somewhere.com.
I end up with http://www.somewhere.com click here for more info - with the url as a hyperlink.
Help!
Re: Help with hyperlinks
I have tested in Firefox and IE - same results.
Might try upgrading to 3.4 to see if it makes any difference - although not feeling optimistic.
Re: Help with hyperlinks
Some people says that it still fails for them, but no one has been able to explain how to reproduce the problem, so it can't be fixed.
