If I click the source button in the toolbar, I see the source of my text but all I can do is select all and cut/copy/paste all. How can I edit this content? It's often handy to go in and delete an HTML tag or some other item in source view.

Cannot edit in source mode

What is your environment? CKEditor version? Browser that you are using? Try to upgrade to the latest CKEditor version and see if it fixes the problem.

I am experiencing the same problem with my installation. We are using the latest version of CKEditor with Mindtouch, the problem appears in all browsers. We updated the editor to the latest version about three weeks ago.
Any idea what could be causing this? Any further troubleshooting tips?
Thanks.
I presume this is some sort of third-party integration with the Mindtouch software? If so, you should probably check with its developers/ community, as this problem does not occur in the latest version of standalone CKEditor so I'm afraid it's beyond our reach...

Not very customer service friendly. You're not even willing to try and help? I am using the editor in a basic ColdFusion page and when in source mode, all I can do is cut/copy/paste. I cannot highlight individual portions nor can I edit anything. What would cause this? Doc type? JS conflict? We can't be the only ones suffering with this issue.
Since this issue is something that does not occur in the latest version of CKEditor itself, you really need to ask the MindTouch developers to correct their integration because this is what introduced the issue. If they debug it and find that some features in CKEditor code are sub-standard and are causing them problems, they are most welcome to file a ticket on our Development site. There is nothing else that we can do, as much as we would like to help.
