it's not clear for me - can I use icons (and other resources) not  created by me, but which have Creative Commons Attribution License?

    • Yes, icons are the only exception when using third-party work, as long as they are licensed under the Creative Commons license. It's defined here in the Skin Contest rules. You must not forget that submissions that are 100% original will be favored over those that use pre-made icons.

What date will you be closing this comp? It would be good to have some target date we can schedule around.

    Cheers,

    Simon

The skin must have "retina ready" icons (32x32) like an option to change  the icons size or just normal 16x16 icons ?

    • We don't mention retina in our rules because we don't want to discourage people, but we are seriously looking into it. So it wouldn't hurt to include both icon sets. It would certainly help you.

So, can I base my skin on a Kama skin with some modification?
